The National Curriculum Framework for School Education 2005 emphasizes on constructivist teaching learning transacted through an enriched curriculum which provides opportunities to leaners to connect knowledge to life outside the school. Additionally, the curriculum focuses on music, dance, visual arts and theatre based on interactive approaches and not instruction to develop aesthetic awareness as well as enable children to express themselves in different forms.
Indian and western , both vocal and instrumental are offered to the students. While vocal music offers a wide creative landscape for students to paint their feelings and emotions, instrumental music strengthens their fingers and also improves coordination of the mind and the body.
